Trusting Certificates with Eudora

Instructions on how to trust a certificate in Eudora.

Configuring Eudora 7

Begin by going to the Personalities tab along the left. Right click on the account under the Persona column and the left click on Properties to view/edit settings. To add a new account, select New within the same menu.

Account Properties

The Account Settings for Persona window starts by showing the Generic Properties, which are the outgoing settings. Click the Incoming Mail tab at the top to view incoming settings. Proper settings can be found under the Incoming & Outgoing Settings below.

IMAP (Incoming)
Server: imap.pacific.net
mail.pacific.net
Port: 993 (TLS/SSL enabled)
143 (STARTTLS enabled)
Username: user@pacific.net
Password: Email address password
POP3 (Incoming)
Server: pop3.pacific.net
mail.pacific.net
Port: 995 (TLS/SSL enabled)
110 (STARTTLS enabled)
Username: user@pacific.net
Password: Email address password
SMTP (Outgoing)
Server: smtp.pacific.net
Do not use mail.pacific.net!
Port: 587 (STARTTLS enabled)
Username: user@pacific.net
Password: Email address password

Authentication is always required.

Usernames are case-sensitive and should be lowercase.
