FileZilla Site Manager

General Info

FileZilla's website can be found at https://filezilla-project.org. There, you can access their wiki, forums and other support info. We also have some installation instructions.

Site Manager Configuration

Open FileZilla.

To set up your connection go to "File" in the menu bar and select "Site Manager".

If you have not created a "Site" yet, you will need to click "New Site" and name one. This is just a descriptive name for your own reference, so something like your domain name is probably simplest.

Under "My Sites", select your connection to display its settings. You will need to use the following information:

HostThe domain name - i.e. domain.tld or ftp.domain.tld.
Port21 (default).
ProtocolFTP - File Transfer Protocol
EncryptionRequire explicit FTP over TLS
Logon TypeNormal
UserThe FTP username.
PasswordThe FTP password.
Account(leave blank)

The advanced tab has optional settings. Of most interest is the ability to set default folders for the local or remote machines.

To quickly access your previously configured sites, click the triangle to the right of the Site Manager icon and select from the drop-down menu.
